The 8th grade boys basketball team plays in Eureka this evening in the semi-final round of the Woodford Co. Principal's Association tournament. The bus leaves MGS at 5:15.

The 8th grade boy's basketball team defeated Roanoke-Benson Sat. 47-35, in the first round of the Woodford County Tournament. Austin led all scorers with a career high of 22 points. The 8th grade boy's move on to the Semi-Finals to play Germantown tomorrow night in Eureka. The Bus leaves tonight at 5:00 for the 7th grade's woodford county tournament in Gridley.

The weather is getting colder which means it coat, hat, and glove season. Please make sure that you come to school prepared for the weather changes outside for recess.

Lunch today is chicken and noodles.

Fruit and cheesecake delivery for band and chorus members is Thursday, Dec. 3 after school until 7:00 p.m. All orders need to be picked up at that time. Students, if you sold fruit or cheesecake, please make arrangements to pick up your orders so that you can get things delivered to people this weekend.

A reminder to all students about recess and coats. Students need to be bringing their coats and sweatshirts for outside. It is too cold to be outside without a coat or sweatshirt. Underarmour, the long sleeve t-shirt brand, does not count as a coat or sweatshirt. 4th and 5th grade students, you have been told also that if you are wearing a sweatshirt outside, you need it to be a double sweatshirt, especially since the temperature is dropping. It’s probably best that students begin wearing their winter coats this week as the weather is changing.

Pep band will perform at the home basketball game tonight. Band members should meet in the band room after school.

Attention MGS, Mrs. Wallace’s Language Arts classes are collecting food for the homeless as part of a writing project. We would like you to donate any kind of food. It will go to the South Side Mission. Please donate as much as you can by Monday, December 07. The box labeled “Food for the South Side Mission”.
